6. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations
This section outlines your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6.1. Your Right to Cancel (Change of Mind): As a consumer in the UK, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your goods. This “cooling-off” period expires 14 days after the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by a clear statement via email sent to hello@milaclaystudio.
6.2. Effects of Cancellation (Change of Mind): If you cancel your contract within the 14-day cooling-off period, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery (with the exception of supplementary costs if you chose a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery offered).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than: (a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any goods supplied, or (b) (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the goods, or (c) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us at 48 union street, M29 8AR. without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods for a change of mind cancellation. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
6.3. Returns for Faulty, Damaged, or Not As Described Items: If goods are faulty, not as described, or arrive damaged, please contact us immediately (within 30 days of delivery for a short-term right to reject, or a reasonable timeframe thereafter for repair/replacement) at [email protected]. We will arrange for a return or replacement at our cost, or issue a full refund, in accordance with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You will not be responsible for the cost of returning faulty or damaged items.
6.4. Exceptions to the Right to Cancel: The right to cancel (for change of mind) does not apply to: * Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (e.g., custom-commissioned pieces).
